May Day March this Saturday!
This Saturday, May 1st, is the annual May Day march for immigrant and workers rights! It is especially important that people come out to demonstrate opposition to the racist law enacted recently in Arizona, as well as to show support for just and comprehensive immigration reform. The march will begin at noon at St. Mary’s Church at 20th and Weller in the Seattle Central District, and we will be marching to Memorial Stadium for a rally with music and speakers.
Meet up with CARW before the march at Casa Latina at 11am. The party will have food for sale, as well as materials to make noise makers and signs for the march. The march is expected to be big this year, so meeting at Casa Latina is a good idea if you want to march with others from CARW.
