Wednesday, August 26th, 2009
6-9pm (Potluck and Socializing from 6pm to 6:30)
Cascade People’s Center (309 Pontius Ave N, Seattle) Cascade People’s Center is wheelchair accessible.
Join us to share food, conversation, and a film about a passionate, lifelong activist.  This will be an opportunity to learn more about CARW and/or learn about our upcoming Anti-Racist White Organizing Institute.  The main event will be a screening of  OUT: The Making of a Revolutionary, a documentary of Laura Whitehorn, anti-racist white lesbian and former political prisoner. We will also be raising money for Communities Against Rape and Abuse (www.cara-seattle.org) and are asking for a sliding scale donation of $5 to $25, although we welcome all regardless of ability to pay.
