CARW Movie Night
In place of our usual monthly CARW meeting on May 13, the CARW-CARA Campaign Committee will be hosting a showing and discussion of No! The Rape Documentary, a film addressing the impact of sexual violence against women of color. All proceeds from this fundraising event will go to our ally group CARA: Communities Against Rape and Abuse. This event will be a great opportunity to explore the intersections of racism, sexism, and violence and how these oppressions affect the lives of many women of color in our society, enhancing our understanding of CARA’s work in the community. Please come to this event and bring white friends, colleagues, etc who are concerned about white privilege, do anti sexual assault work, or are otherwise at the intersections addressed in this film. It will be a great discussion, plus we will have tasty treats and a fun raffle to contribute to our fundraising!
