January Update
Campaign Updates
Hi everyone! It’s only January, and we of CARW are happy to report that our three 2009 Campaign Committees are up and running and gaining momentum! Folks from the El Comite CC have already tabled and marched with El Comite at the MLK Day march and supported El Comite at their event “Solidarity & Struggle.” Working groups of the CARA CC are busy coordinating fundraisers including a skillshare, a film night, a book club, and a sex-positive dance. The JusticeWorks! CC is doing some great teambuilding and strategizing, and has already coordinated phone banking and trips to lobby in Olympia. Good work everyone!
Each CC is also still open to new members. So give a call or email to the contact person listed on the Campaigns page, and see how you can join in on this great work!
Online Calendar
In addition to the trusty CARW listserve, there’s a new way to keep up-to-date on CARW’s public meetings, Campaign Committee Meetings, and special events: the CARW online calendar. If you are already a google calendar user, you can add the CARW calendar to your personal calendar by entering “carwoc” into your “other calendars” box. If not, you can just bookmark the link.
