The 6th Annual Seattle Race Conference will focus on “Movements for Reparations: Restoring Racial Justice, Building Unity & Healing Our Diverse Communities”. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Redress to Japanese Americans incarcerated during WWII. Join us for workshops and dialogue exploring what the movements for redress means for our diverse communities and the ways reparations can play a role in racial reconciliation, healing and in building bridges between all our communities. Featuring keynote speaker: Dr. Raymond Winbush, Director of the Institute for Urban Research at Morgan State University, former Director of Race Relations at Fisk University and editor of the anthology, Should America Pay: Slavery and the Raging Debate on Reparations.
